On March 12, the Ambassador of Panama in Uruguay, Ms. María Gabriela Méndez, visited the RSC CARIBE vessel, sailing under the Panamanian flag, reaffirming the spirit of cooperation between both nations in the maritime sector.

At RSC, we deeply appreciate the support provided by the Ambassador and her team, who have been actively accompanying the company and its fleet in Uruguay. During the visit, joint actions were agreed upon to promote cultural and professional integration between the two countries.

Key highlights include:

  • Promoting the placement of Panamanian postcards aboard vessels as a way to foster Panamanian culture among crew members and at the ports where we operate.

  • Initiating a plan to incorporate Panamanian cadets aboard our ships, encouraging professional training and educational cooperation.

  • RSC raised the need for a Panamanian maritime consulate in Montevideo, to support operations and diplomatic relations more closely.

This visit not only strengthens institutional ties, but also opens up new opportunities to continue reinforcing the Panamanian presence in our fleet and throughout the region.
